On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am very pleased to extend warm wishes to members of the Tamil community on the occasion of Puthandu.
In Tamil communities across Ontario and throughout the world, this is a time of great joy, an opportunity for families and friends to come together to reflect on the past year, and to look forward with renewed
hope to the year ahead.
I am delighted to take this opportunity to recognize the many enduring ways in which the Tamil community in Ontario has helped to shape our province into the strong and vibrant place we are so proud to call home. In honour of these great contributions made by Tamil Canadians, our province recognizes January of every year as Tamil Heritage Month.
I offer my sincere best wishes for a joyous and memorable celebration, and for happiness, good health and prosperity in the year ahead.
