On behalf of the Government of Ontario, I am delighted to extend warm greetings to members of the Vietnamese community as you celebrate Tẽt and usher in the Year of the Dog.
Tẽt is a time for families and friends to come together to reflect on the past year, look forward with renewed hope to the year ahead, and to honour the memory of ancestors.
I want to take this opportunity to recognize the many ways in which Ontario’s Vietnamese community has helped shape our province into the strong and vibrant place we are so fortunate to call home.
This occasion is also an ideal opportunity to celebrate the long-standing friendship between Ontario and Vietnam, and to recognize the flourishing trade and business relationship that our two jurisdictions enjoy. I recently led my first successful trade mission to Vietnam and had the privilege of experiencing the country’s rich and abundant culture.
I offer my sincere my best wishes for a most joyous celebration, and a happy, healthy and prosperous new year. An khang thịnh vượng!
