Dear community members,
I am writing to encourage you to participate in the Leading Women/Leading Girls (LWLG) Building Communities Recognition Program. The nomination period is ending soon! Since the introduction of this program in 2006, more than 1000 women and girls across Ontario have received this award from their MPPs.
The LWLG program is run by MPPs with the help of the Ministry of the Status of Women. The number of nominations continues to rise each year because the process is easy and the impact is significant. This is an opportunity to celebrate incredible women and acknowledge their invaluable contributions in our communities.
I invite individuals, organizations, schools and community groups to contact my office for information on how they can nominate Ottawa-Vanier area women and girls who demonstrate exceptional leadership and a commitment to improving their communities through volunteer work for this award.
It is important we receive complete nomination packages by the end of the day on January 20, 2018. To be eligible, a nominee’s home address must be within the riding of Ottawa-Vanier. Two support letters must be included with the basic nomination form (attached).
Please send all nominations and requests for additional information to Lyse-Pascale Inamuco at firstname.lastname@example.org or (613)744-4484.
